The TPADP-TPH-APFLLC-240W-RD AC to DC reference design offers an output power level of 240 W. This design is composed of two power stages, the first being the PFC (AC to DC) using an active half bridge front end and the second being the LLC (DC to DC), producing 48 V at 5 A. Its peak efficiency is greater than 96% with an open frame power density of 28.5 W/in3.
This power supply uses three 650 V SuperGaN PQFN 8x8 GaN FETs (1x TP65H070G4LSG and 2x TP65H150G4LSG) and NXP's TEA2206A active half bridge and their TEA6017(TEA2017) PFC + LLC and TEA2096 SR controllers. This power supply is ideal for applications such as high power density AC/DC power supplies, adapter and lighting power supplies.
